Pick your Moss.

 

Moss is not only needed for a terrarium, but it adds the true feeling of outdoors to your piece.  This page allows you to choose the type of moss you like.  Moss can go in the layers of your terrarium or container and on the top to fill in the areas where the plants can grow.  So get creative and have fun picking whatever style you like!

 

 

 

 Reindeer Moss

Reindeer Moss or Cladonia rangiferina is actually not a moss but a lichen that Reindeer (Caribou) have an important part of their diet.  However the moss we use has been preserved for use in decor.  Reindeer moss is great for holding in the moisture and look beautiful on the surface of the soil.  It's sure to bring an ambiance to any room!

Peat Moss

Sphagnum is a genus of approximately 380 accepted species of mosses, commonly known as peat moss. Accumulations of Sphagnum can store water, since both living and dead plants can hold large quantities of water inside their cells.

Sheet Moss

Sheet Moss is one of the more well known types of moss.  Great for terrariums, tabletops, planters, amphibian aquariums,
